James is an abstract artist living in the Richmond area. He works in cold wax medium with oil, encaustics and acrylics. He is heavily influenced by elements of nature and incorporates heavy texture in his paintings that invoke a visually tactile response for the viewer. His approach to his painting is very organic and spontaneous and endeavors to create a balance between order and chaos.
